Interesting how the point of complete bliss and complete satisfaction (or at least as far as will suffice) is a complete paradox. You get to that point and you start seeing tiny problems existing and soon enough, the whole bliss and satisfaction is blow. It's chaos theory. Tiny implications in a system will cause it to fail upon reaching maximum perfection. Maybe it's just entropy, I don't know. Your guess is as good as mine. Good thought for the night, though. When will the spiral end? When will the point of reaching perfection and dropping it end? Maybe the perfection and complete bliss isn't real, but rather something a little less than peachy that our mind masks to rationalize the end to all ends. The point of Nirvana.

    <lj:music>"Wish You Were Here" - Pink Floyd</lj:music>

If one were to find what he or she were truely looking for, would they really want it? Would the image of perfection and a final destination or final answer be all it seemed to be? What would happen if they decide against it? Our whole lives, we are searching for answers. What happens when we are faced with those answers and they don't fit? Do we stop and start over or end the journey right there? I wonder if we are really searching for something that doesn't exist: a ripple in the pond. We make our life as we see fit. If we attempt to set a fixed goal and fixed destination of the future, we begin to realize that life can't be sustained on that fixed point. We will always change it. We think we don't and that life is at fault, but it is not. We are the artists. We paint the world.<br /><br />Memories like fingerprints are slowly raising...<br /><br />Look in the mirror for 5 minutes straight and ponder what you see...

    <lj:music>"Sweet Jane" - Cowboy Junkies</lj:music>

What's up people? I just got back from winning free $49 tickets from DUPB. It's a Nine Inch Nails and Queens of the Stone Age concert. Talk about sweet. The only problem is NIN is really stereotyped. The band is one guy who does all of the songs in his personal studio. He has a live band too. He's not heavy metal either like everyone else seems to think. He plays industrial, techno-based rock, which is really cool if you haven't heard their new cd. The most popular song from that is "The hand that feeds." Good song. <br /><br />Other developments: If you're interested, listen to KVDU every thursday evening from 8 - 9 for Fish N' Chips with Bart. It's my radio show and we do give away tickets, posters, cds, etc. once in awhile. I play alternative and some classic rock. There isn't any rap or hip hop except for the occasional Beastie Boys so call in and I'll try to play something for ya. You can listen live by going to www.kvdu.du.edu Good times with that. Other developments, I'm going to write for the Clarion (DU's newspaper) so that'll be cool. Cheers everyone!

<lj:music>song resulting in "Turn that shit off you fucking hippies!"</lj:music>

Just got back from camping out for hockey season tickets. We took the futon and everything. It was pretty sweet until a lot of really drunk upperclassmen came at 5 AM or so and cut in line and messed with people. Let me say this though: WE ARE GONNA KICK CC'S ASSSSSSSSSSSS BOOYA! lol Hope everyone is having fun. The line yesterday, last night, and this morning, was HUGE. Sooo many crazy people there. My poor shirt smells like beer, cigarettes, and pot because of everyone using all three there. Every 10 minutes I would wake up to a huge swell of pot smoke hanging around. It was pretty nasty. Nonetheless, I got the tickets. 52 bucks for students. It's a couple hundred or so for regularly priced season tickets so mine were definitely not a bad deal. Well, time to crash now. I've been awake too long and need to pass out lol I'm starting to wonder what's going to happen to the leftovers that other people had around Magness Arena. The place looks like a Woodstock aftermath or something haha Beer and everything all just thrown about. It's pretty bad. Maybe I'll go help pickup. Ok, see ya!

<lj:music>"(Don't You) Forget about me" - Simple Minds</lj:music>

I miss hanging with people. We should all hang more often before everyone leaves :) I'm updating my schedule below: as of right now I have Friday off and I will possibly have Thursday off as well. Additionally, I put in a request to get the 7th (sunday) off. There's the new update for anyone that wants to know about it :) Today was alright. I put in a little over 40 hours last week (about 41 really) so that'll be a nice paycheck. I also bought this really cool Targus laptop backpack for 10 bucks after rebates. Throw on top a 15% employee discount and you have a winner. Targus usually makes those backpacks for a minimum of $50. Not too shabby if I say so myself. Other than that, nothing new has really happened. I woke up about 2 minutes before I had to leave today. I hauled out of this place quicker than ever before because I was the only opening cashier today haha. Being late was not an option. Does anyone know where my summer went? It flew by and I can't seem to find it...

<lj:music>"The End Has No End" - The Strokes</lj:music>

Hey everyone. Just another day at the office. Cleaning and packing is taking a lot longer than I had ever imagined, but I won't have anything really to take with me except for books, my guitar, and computer games/cds (including music). I got a bonus today. That was pretty exciting. Throw that on top of a nice commission and we're in business. I also saw Taxi Driver recently. If you haven't seen it, keep an open mind. It's a great Robert DeNiro movie, but it goes to a lot of extremes to show a genuine theme. Another update: I was playing around on the guitar and actually found out how to play the intros to two songs without any tabs needed. This is the actual music too. The first song is "Reunion" by Colletive Soul. The other is "Blister in the Sun" by The Violent Femmes. Great songs and fairly easy to play. I also learned most of "Make Yourself" by Incubus. I made it acoustic of course because my electric is out of commission for the time being. I've also thought about starting my own business recently. I want to go back to web design, but possibly do something else at the same time. That's all for now. Thought for the moment: Maybe people are meant to have shades of grey. If they do have their own dark sides now or previously, maybe it makes them more human than others at times. Maybe someone has to push an extreme once in his or her life to finally see the edge of reality as we know it. I dunno. Just a thought.
